High Sex vs. Drunk Sex: NYU Investigates

As reported in Green Rush Daily, researchers at NYU recently published a scientific study that measures, records, and compares the psychosocial and physical effects of using both alcohol vs. marijuana and sex . Both can have a positive or negative effect on a person’s sexual encounters. Consuming alcohol may lead to more spontaneous, uninhibited sex when compared to cannabis. And alcohol is more strongly associated with regretting said sex. Alcohol can also lead to less sensitivity, which could be a good or bad thing, depending on who you ask.

Cannabis influenced sexual encounters, are marked by increased sensitivity, closer intimacy, and even enhanced orgasms in some subjects. The main negatives of high sex are paranoia and a higher likelihood of becoming distracted during the act. Whether drunk sex or marijuana and sex is better seems to be a matter of personal preference. The study did not touch on sex while under the influence of both substances at the same time.

In the end it all boils down to personal experience and what works for you. Many will experience different effects from the same drug/alcohol.
