The Oregon Cannabis Association has organized a cannabis festival taking place on July 24 that they’ve dubbed The Summer Fair. They have already sold out of tickets — sort of. Portland officials have been trying to crack down on cannabis events where free samples are available, but The Oregon Cannabis Association found a loophole: No consumption of cannabis will be allowed at the festival… and the tickets are free. According to an article by Noelle Crombie in Oregon Live, the event is “designed to showcase Oregon’s marijuana industry and give consumers a chance to learn more about products sold in dispensaries.” Event vendors and attendees must still be careful to follow all of the rules set forth for the event, or they risk fines up to $5,000.
